Introduction

I aspire to explore new ventures in all aspects of science and medicine. As an ENT Surgeon, I believe in expanding knowledge and skills, both technical and surgical, through experience, continuing education sources and research, and employing advancing knowledge and techniques in comprehensive care, as a part of being a competent, professional, and compassionate human being with a positive and bigger outlook.

  • Moto:

To be able to empathize with my patients with the utmost friendly, professional, and committed approach by providing patient-specific and condition-oriented treatment, being true to the oath, knowledge, and consciences.

  • Most Memorable Moment:

The smiles and gratitude seen in the faces of our patients are some of the biggest assets of any doctor. My practice to date has been an overwhelming and memorable experience for me because of the confidence my patients have had in me which has helped instill in me the sense of commitment towards the service I provide. It is difficult to compress my most cherishing memories into words, but to mention a particular one:

- A young male patient came to us with repeated episodes of intractable epistaxis leading to anemia, for almost a year, the cause of which could not be identified even with repeated CT/MRI scans. We, as a team, managed to get a CT Angiogram which showed a life-threatening pseudoaneurysm of the internal carotid artery. The timely diagnosis and intervention saved the patient. To have seen the 20-year-old transform from being helpless, extremely weak, and sometimes unconscious to being healthy, smiling, and very active was definitely heartwarming.

  • Most Challenging Moment:

- Every patient and condition is nothing less than a challenge for a doctor. Learning from mistakes, implementing new techniques, keeping ourselves updated, and gaining patient confidence are the challenges posed in today’s Google world. There have been many challenges in my surgical and non-surgical practice, to mention a few:

- Stapes dislocation during middle ear repair - CSF leak during FESS

- Post tonsillectomy secondary hemorrhage due to dengue fever - Post tracheostomy hemorrhage

- Parotid sialocoele post reduction of condyle fracture

- Post-surgical complications including infections, abscess formations, hematomas, and so on..
