Dr. Saista Asif | Pediatrics
Dr. Saista Asif, a Pediatric Specialist at Prime Specialist Medical Center, has more than eight years of experience in treating children suffering from fever, cough, loose stools, tonsillitis, pneumonia, and other infections. She has an excellent knowledge and experience in child development, including growth and vaccination. She also has extensive training in the UK and Canada where she handled kid patients with liver problems such as biliary atresia, liver tumours, liver failure, Wilsons disease, autoimmune liver disease, and hepatitis. She was an active member of the liver transplant team in Mumbai, where the first centre doing pediatric liver transplants is located.
Dr. Saista spent time in Toronto for her pediatric gastroenterology training during which she did endoscopies in children and managed young patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), chronic diarrhoea, and eosinophilic esophagitis. Dr. Saista has published several of her research papers as well as presented the same in various international platforms. She was awarded the Young Investigator Award in 2014 in London for her work on liver transplant in children.
