His Excellency Humaid Al Qatami, Chairman of the Board and Director-General of Dubai Health Authority (DHA), expressed appreciation on the continuing efforts made by the private sector, especially the private health institutions, to be at pace with the rapid development witnessed by Dubai, while also being able to address the growing demand for high-quality health services. His Excellency stressed that the DHA is keen on diversifying investment opportunities for the private health sector covering various fields. He also added that the DHA had placed key attention on the move to empower further hospitals, centers and clinics in supporting medical tourism and contributing to the efforts to provide a world-class clinical experience. Al Qatami’s statement was made during his visit to Prime Hospital in Dubai. The DHA Director-General was welcomed by Dr. Jamil Ahmed, Managing Manager, Prime Healthcare Group and Dr. Osman Al Bakri, Director, Prime Hospital. Also present were company officials and doctors. During the visit, His Excellency was given a tour of the hospital’s various medical departments. HE Al Qatami said, “Dubai has become a highly preferred health investments destination as shown by the growing number of hospitals, centers of excellence and the presence of advanced medical equipment and services.” Exchange of experiences He further pointed out that the DHA has built strong relationships with its hospitals and private hospitals in order to share best knowledge and experiences, as well as providing a wide range of joint initiatives and providing a competitive environment for the benefit of patients and the general public. At the end of his visit, Al Qatami expressed his special appreciation for the efforts of the Prime Health Group, particularly the hospitals and medical centers it operates, in the move to help achieve customer satisfaction and happiness.
