Dr. Meenakshi Sesama | Pediatrics (Child Care)

Dr. Meenakshi Sesama completed her post-graduation in pediatrics at Asia’s renowned pediatric institute, Lady Hardinge Medical College, and Kalamata Saran Children Hospital in Delhi, India. She subsequently worked at esteemed medical institutes, including the University Medical College of Medical Sciences, and Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital in Delhi. With vast experience in clinical care for newborns and children, she was actively involved in academics and teaching medical students. This led to several publications in international journals and chapters in the IAP Textbook of Pediatrics, all under the guidance of renowned pediatrician and academician, Dr. Piyush Gupta. Additionally, she organized academic fests like "Concept" under the guidance of renowned pediatric professor and hematologist, Dr. Sunil Gomber. Dr. Sesama is also a certified breastfeeding specialist.

Most memorable moment: Every day spent working with kids is memorable. From assisting first-time moms in establishing exclusive breastfeeding through constant lactation counseling, to sending kids with status asthmatics and active seizures home happily with full recovery, each interaction is equally unforgettable.

Most challenging moment: To create these memorable moments, every step is challenging. Assuaging parents' apprehension and anxiety, and answering their queries regarding their child's health, even when we know the child is doing fine, can be the most challenging situation. Listening to the parents is of utmost importance for the overall treatment of the baby.
