Layla is having long and wide experience in Internal Medicine and Diabetes, she started her career in the main teaching hospital in Baghdad (The Medical City) she had training in all fields of Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Intensive and Coronary care units with Diabetes during this she got her Diploma in Internal Medicine. She traveled to the United Kingdom, worked in teaching hospitals and got her membership in the Royal College Of Physicians (UK) 1978 followed by the fellowship of the Royal College Of Edge. 1999 as she proved her wide experience in her field plus teaching under and postgraduate medical students. She worked as a consultant physician in IbnNafis cardiovascular Specialized Hospital in Baghdad then moved to Dubai in 1999 and got the position of Consultant A Internal Medicine & Diabetes as Head of Medical Dep. In Al Baraha hospital for 11 years during which she was an active Clinical Assistant Professor in Sharjah Medical College.
