Dr. Ramesh Sabhlok boasts an illustrious career, with over 40 years of extensive experience in Orthodontics. He is highly skilled in Multidisciplinary Orthodontic treatment for both adults and children. His areas of expertise include Growth Modification with Functional Appliances, Non-Extraction treatments with Micro-implants, Surgical Orthodontics, management of Temporomandibular Joint Disorders, Sleep Apnea, and Cleft Lip and Palate Orthodontics. Dr. Sabhlok is also a certified provider of Invisalign and Incognito Lingual Braces.
Dr. Sabhlok earned his BDS (Honors) and MDS in Orthodontics from King George’s Medical College, University of Lucknow, India, and completed his Certificate in Orthodontics at the School of Dentistry, University of Louisiana, USA. He holds several prestigious qualifications: Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh (FDS RCS), Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons, Glasgow (FDS RCPS), Diplomate of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh (M.ORTH RCS), and Diplomate of the Indian Board of Orthodontics.
He received the WHO Fellowship for advanced training in Orthodontics at various esteemed American institutions and also trained in Surgical Orthodontics with Dr. William Arnett at the Center for Corrective Jaw Surgery, Santa Barbara, California.
Dr. Sabhlok has held prominent teaching and clinical positions in the Middle East and India, contributing to reputed places. He played a key role in establishing Orthodontic services in Dubai in 1991 and served for two decades as a Consultant Orthodontist. He has been practicing exclusively in Dubai since 2010 and was a Visiting Professor at the University of Manipal, India, from 2008 to 2015.
He has delivered numerous lectures and workshops globally, being a keynote speaker at prominent conferences, including the American Association of Orthodontists’ Annual Sessions. His contributions have been honored by various prestigious institutions and societies.
Dr. Sabhlok has co-authored the book Twin Block Functional Therapy: Applications in Dentofacial Orthopedics with Dr. William Clark and published significant works, including a manual on MBT treatment mechanics. As an active member of many international orthodontic organizations, he has pioneered efforts in establishing the Emirates Orthodontic Society.
