Dr. Zaighum Abbas is a qualified General Physician with a professional career span of 10 years. He is an expert in General/Family Medicine. Dr. Zaighum completed his graduation from Semey State Medical University, Semey, Kazakhstan in 2008. Registered with Pakistan Medical and Dental Council and completed his House job in General Medicine and General Surgery at Lahore General Hospital, a 750 bedded Government teaching health institute. Started his career as a medical officer in the Surgical Department of WAPDA Teaching Hospital Lahore, a 250 bedded Teaching hospital in Lahore, in 2010, and Later owing to his hard work and professional skills, he was promotedregistrar Surgery and served for four years. During that period he was attached to a private clinic and practiced as a General/Family physician. In late 2014, registered to Maldivian Medical and Dental Council and moved to the Maldives. He worked as Medical Officer under the Ministry of Health in Maldives for one and a half years. After getting a license with Dubai Health Authority, he moved to UAE in 2016.
Started his career in UAE at a clinic and joined PRIME HEALTHCARE GROUP in 2017. During his career, he performed a number of surgical procedures under the supervision of well-qualified and competent surgeons. He has expertise in the primary management of trauma, wound care, minor surgical procedures, and general medical/allied and general surgical/allied emergencies. He has a good hold on the management of different acute and chronic diseases, like Diabetes and related disorders, respiratory and cardiac diseases, rheumatic and musculoskeletal disorders, and thyroid and general endocrine disorders. Dr. Zaighum Abbas has fluency in four languages like English, Urdu, Russian, Hindi, Punjabi, and somehow Arabic as well.
