Newly signed agreement between Prime Healthcare Group and Dar Al Ber Society to help provide treatment for indigent and low-income patients

Prime Healthcare Group, a leading healthcare service provider, has signed a new cooperation agreement with the Dar Al Ber Society (DABS), a UAE-based philanthropic and charitable organization, to help provide medical treatment services to indigent and low-income patients. The agreement was signed by Dr. Osman El Bakry, General Manager – Business Development, Prime Hospital and Abdullah Ali Bin Zayed Al Falasi, Executive Director, DABS, in the presence of the Khalid Al Tamimi, Media Advisor, DABS and Abdullah Abdulaziz, Head of Partnerships Section, DABS.

Under the terms of the agreement, Prime Hospital branches across the UAE will provide specially discounted medical services to indigent and low-income patients that have been verified and referred by DABS. Also, the society will regularly check and consult with the Prime Healthcare Group on the availability of treatment for special cases being handled by DABS, including the charges and the most suitable Prime Hospital branch to handle the patient. In turn, the Prime Healthcare Group will provide the patients with a 50 per cent reduction in surgery costs, medical consultations with specialists, blood and laboratory tests and radiology services. The leading healthcare provider has also expressed their participation and support for the society's health-oriented campaigns, particularly during holidays and national events--offering low-income families with free medical examinations and the designation of Emergency Response Teams, along with ambulances and mobile facilities, during these events.
Al Falasi lauded the society's continuing efforts to provide assistance to low-income families and individuals, including treatments for disabled patients. He added that the DABS promotes humanitarian initiatives and implements charitable projects that are in line with ‘Year of Giving’ initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, which further reinforces the UAE's image as a country of happiness.
