Dubai Conference Spotlights Latest Advances in Sepsis Care
Leading healthcare experts from around the world gathered in Dubai for the 3rd Middle East International Conference on Innovation and Sepsis 2026, held on February 14–15 at Le Méridien Dubai Hotel and Conference Centre. The event was organised under the patronage of PRIME Healthcare Group in collaboration with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
The two-day conference brought together regional and international specialists to discuss new approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of sepsis, a serious medical condition that requires rapid identification and intervention. Discussions focused on early diagnosis, timely treatment, advanced technologies and artificial intelligence to improve patient outcomes and strengthen critical-care services.
Dr Adel Al Sisi, Group Chief Medical Officer and Chair of the Intensive Care Unit at PRIME Hospital, highlighted the importance of rapid medical intervention during the critical early stages of sepsis. He explained that early diagnosis and immediate treatment can significantly reduce mortality and complications.
Dr Al Sisi also highlighted the growing role of predictive AI models and advanced technologies in analysing patient information in real time, supporting earlier detection and faster clinical intervention.
Dr Jamil Ahmed, Founder and Managing Director of PRIME Healthcare Group, emphasised the importance of collaboration between the private healthcare sector and government authorities in advancing medical innovation. He noted that bringing international experts together and adopting advanced healthcare solutions can further improve sepsis management across the region.
The conference also reinforced Dubai's focus on healthcare excellence, innovation, patient safety and international collaboration, while promoting knowledge exchange and global best practices in critical and emergency care.
