Dr. Firdaus Ksukhi is a Specialist Ophthalmologist and a highly trained Vitreoretinal Surgeon. Over the last 18, Dr. Firdaus has added to her wealth of experience. She obtained her MBBS degree from Gandhi Medical College India and her Masters in Ophthalmology from the Regional Institute of Ophthalmology Gandhi Medical College and Associated Hamidia Hospital Bhopal India. In her early career, Dr. Firdaus was awarded a gold medal for the best academic performance in her post graduate exams in 1998. She followed this up by completing a vitreoretinal fellowship at the renowned North India Sardar Bahadur Dr. Sohan Eye Hospital and Advanced Retinal Surgeries fellowship from Munich in Germany.

Dr. Firdaus moved to the UAE and joined Al Baraha Hospital as a Specialist Ophthalmologist and Vitreoretinal Surgeon in 2011. Dr. Firdaus was the first surgeon from the Ministry of Health to perform surgery for grade 4 Retinopathies of Prematurity and was also awarded the DHA ‘Friend of Patient’ Award and Certificate of Appreciation for initiating the Diabetic Retinopathy screening program in 2015. To date, Dr. Firdaus has successfully performed over 5,000 Vitreoretinal surgeries.
