Dr. Reena Sankar has over 7 yrs of experience in Multispeciality tertiary care hospitals and Research Institutes, in India and Dubai.
She did her Paediatric Residency programme in a prestigious government college in India- Bangalore Medical college and Research Institute, for 3 years, involving in care of Paediatric and Neonatal critical patients .She had months of special training and worked in various premier institutes of pediatric subspecialities like Jayadeva Institute of cardiology (Bangalore) ,working with critical cardiac patients, KIDWAII institute of Oncology, Bangalore, working in Leukemia wards involved in chemotherapy and related fields of work, and also had extensive training in NIMHAANS ,Bangalore , the most Prestigious Institute for Neurosciences in India, Managing children with stroke, Paediatric Epilepsy and other neurologic disorders.
In the next 2 years, she worked as Pediatrician in Columbia Asia Referral Hospital, Bangalore, India, in areas of pediatric and Neonatal critical care and routine care. She has experience with managing pediatric patients and in outpatient clinics and wards, counselling of parents.
In UAE, She has worked as specialist Pediatrician (under supervision) in Medcare Hospital in Dubai, handling all kinds of pediatric emergency and Outpatients, as well as inpatients, Neonatal critical care for over 2 years.
She has completed PART 1 MRCPCH (Royal College Of Paediatrics, UK) and has published her paper in Indian Journal of Psychiatry in 2011 on Thalassemia in Children and its impact on child psychology and behaviour.
